Texas Auto Recovery Operations

Texas Auto Recovery was formed and began operations in June of 1994 in Vidor, Texas. The Company was originated and employed by only one customer, McDorman Motors and its related entities. Texas Auto Recovery in June of 1994 had only 1 wrecker and exclusively handled the towing, transportation and repossession for McDorman Motors and its Customers at this time the company employed only 1 person. By the end of 1999 Texas Auto Recovery employed 9 full time employees, over 15 contract drivers and 7 wreckers. 

Texas Auto Recovery today now over 20 years later presently represents Car Dealers; Lenders; Finance Companies; Vehicle Repair Facilities; Body Shops; Insurance Agencies and Individual Consumers in there Motor Vehicle Sales; Lending; Recovery; Skip Tracing; Collision and Mechanical Claims needs and/or related issues. 

 

McDorman Motors Operations

In early 1992 Robert McDorman sought out and identified a Used Car Dealership for sale located in the small Southeast Texas Town of Vidor operating under the name Easy Auto Sales. After months of due diligence, negotiation and financing arrangements to purchase the Dealership Robert acquired The Small Mom and Pop Used Car Sales and Service Operation in August 1992. Easy Auto Sales that had been under the same ownership for over 20 years. Easy Auto Sales through the past years had struggled to sell, service and maintain 14-15 vehicles sales per month. After the acquisition the business operating name was changed to 1^st Choice Auto Sales and Service. By the end of May 1995 McDorman Motors DBA 1^st Choice Auto Sales and Service was averaging 65 Preowned Retail Vehicle Sales per month along with an average of 45 Dealer to Dealer Wholesale Vehicle Sales per month as well. The Company grew throughout the years with several other locations opening in Texas all operated under McDorman Motors Banner, taking operations to 3 locations in 2000 and ultimately 5 thriving locations before the end of 2004. Listed below are a few of the McDorman Motors Company Achievements but not limited to. 

• McDorman crafted and executed business plans and structure that grew business at its peak to one of the largest independent pre-owned automobile dealerships in Texas with 186 employees and selling more than 600 wholesale and retail vehicles each month (ranked 1st in Motor Vehicle Registration’s across 3 counties).
• McDorman garnered multiple awards, including Texas Independent Automobile Dealers Association Quality Dealer  of the Year in 2000 (TIADA), National Quality Dealer of the Year in 2001 (NIADA) and Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas Torch Award Finalist (1^st Runner Up, 2000) (BBB).
• McDorman established multiple revenues streams, diversifying sales and financing parts of business, and creating new standalone profit centers including insurance agency, vehicle repair and maintenance, body shop, and towing and storage.
• McDorman executed financing strategy taking operations to one of the top five lien holders across three  counties, issuing new Motor Vehicle Sales Loans in excess of $2 million      monthly and servicing an average of 1,400 Active Retail Installment Consumer Loans in a given month valued at well over $12 million.

From Day 1 McDorman realized (truth be known as a young boy Robert understood this and more so today) customer satisfaction was Paramount to The Company’s success and religiously focused daily on each Customers individual Sales and Financial needs as it related to their individual family needs. McDorman understood that it mattered not how good of a job The Company did selling the vehicle and satisfying the customer if The Company were unable to get the vehicle financed and delivered to the customer The Company would and could not survive. This devoted dedication to the customers and there financing needs was the very secret to the customer satisfaction and sales success of McDorman Motors. “No One Else Comes Close”

StateFarm Insurance 2014 BMW 428i Turbo Convertible Diminished Value Claim

Early 2015 I was contacted by a potiential client whom told me his wife was struck by another vehicle while driving down the road and the other party was ticketed and at fault. The potiential client informed me the party at fault had StateFarm Insurance and they had infact paid to have the BMW repaired and put back to as near factory specs as humanly possible. During our original conversation he told me StateFarm at this time was not agreeing to pay The Diminished Value that was infact Owed! The Original Claim StateFarm wrote on the Damaged Vehicle was $3,502.74. Upon Autonation beginning work on the car an additional supplement was later written and approved by StateFarm for $5,743.29. Autonation as noted on the Final Body Shop Repair Order used all O.E.M. Replacement Parts.

Documents supplied to me show the Client had purchased the BMW New in July of 2014 and the vehicle had 3 miles on it. The Accident occurred on October 3rd 2014 and the vehicle at this time had an estimated 2,408 miles. At the early part of my evaluation on January 19th 2015 it was noted CarFax reflected Minor Wreck Damage on its report in reference to the BMW that is the subject of this post.

Upon evaluation of the facts presented to me and a careful review of the documents pertaining to the claim, it is my Professional Opinion there is No Doubt the above referenced client was Due a Diminished Value Settlement from StateFarm for his Loss in Fair Market Value to his BMW after The Wreck!

Hartford Insurance 2001 Ford F-150 Total Loss Claim

In early January of 2015 a client contacted me to review his total loss claim on a 2001 Ford F-150. The client was not at fault and was trying to settle with the party at faults liability carrier Hartford Insurance. Upon review of the J.D. Power/McGraw Hill Financial Mitchell Vehicle Valuation Report used by Hartford Insurance as a tool to Devalue Claim Payouts several key errors were uncovered that had lead to a less than favorible Fair Market Value Settlement by Hartford. When the client 1st brought me his claim information Hartford was attempting to get him to settle the claim on his 2001 Ford F-150 for $5,757.58. Upon a full review of the J.D. Power/McGraw Hill Financial Mitchell Vehicle Valuation Report and outlining the errors and/or short comings in said Mitchell Vehicle Valuation Report my client was able to settle for $7,800.00.

Time and Time again I see this exact same issue as listed above were as The Insurance Company uses these Market Evaluation Reports such as J.D. Power/McGraw Hill Financial Mitchell Valuation Report to Devalue Claim Settlements and Cheat Consumers out of there rightful Fair Market Settlement Due Them.
